US Primaries

I have not been following the us primaries very closely... But I keeptrack of the main events... A few days back Obamas nomination was announced... He won over Hillary Clinton.... I think that's a great thing... As it has been said a thousand timesover... He might be USA's first black president....
It has also been said that his opponent Hillary Clinton could have also changed history and been USA's first woman president... These statements make me wonder.... I come from a country where cast, sex, status etc play a very important role... A third world- backward nation...Yet we have already had a woman prime minister... The headof the current ruling party is a woman... Our current president is awoman... That was as far as the sex issue goes...
Now the cast issue.... In a country with majority of Hindus, our current prime minister is a Sikh... Our last president was a Muslim... I'm not trying to be racist.... This is me wanting to know... Why does the US of A blow things out of proportion...
... Its ok USA learn to actually practice equality like u preach it.... For theworlds most developed and first nation.... U ppl sure do have narrow thinking... 'Wow she's a woman'.... Who cares as long as she doeswhat's required of her... Same goes for the USA's first black presidential candidate.... Obama.
That said, I wish him and his opponents all the very best .... May the best man win.... And teach his country to be more open minded towards change.
